Monthly Pest Control and Inspections:

MHA  will enter apartments once per month to perform pest control, change  the HVAC filter, and inspect for cleanliness and needed repairs.

Rental Property apartments are inspected the first Tuesday of each month

Public Housing  apartments are inspected the last Tuesday of each month

If  a standing inspection date needs to be rescheduled due to weather or a  holiday  closure, you will be notified in advance of the revised  inspection date in writing.

Community Service:  

Persons less than 62  years of age, that are not disabled or the caretaker of a disabled  person, that are not working 20 hours or more per week, are required to  contribute 8 hours per month of community service (volunteer work) or  participate in 8 hours of training or other activities which help an  individual toward self-sufficiency and economic independence. Hours  should be turned in to Sonia at the MHA office on a monthly basis.   Falling behind on your community service can result in your lease not  being renewed. Volunteer opportunities are posted on the bulletin board  at the Monahans Adult Probation Office.
