*Does MHA provide emergency housing?
No, MHA does not provide emergency housing. We operate off of a waiting list, and apartments are rented on a first-come, first-served basis. We do not have waiting list preferences for homelessness, domestic violence, etc.
*What documents will I need to apply?
For Public Housing: Original birth certificates and Social Security cards for everyone that will be residing in the apartment, driver's license or photo ID card for everyone over the age of 18, proof of ALL income: Social Security award letters, child support, Disability, pensions, income from employers (check stubs from the 3 most recent, consecutive months), and other private income.
For Rental Property: Social Security cards for everyone that will be residing in the apartment, driver's license or photo ID card for everyone over the age of 18.
* Does MHA allow pets?

* Does MHA accept Section 8 vouchers for the 1-bedroom rental apartments?
No, as 9-11-19, MHA is not accepting any new Section 8 Vouchers.
* Does MHA accept VASH vouchers for the 1-bedroom rental apartments?
Yes, MHA will accept VASH vouchers.
* How do I apply for a Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher or a VASH voucher?
Vouchers for the Monahans area are issued through the Odessa Housing Authority.
